Hello there! Here is some information about myself and my interests regarding my academics: My major is animation. I prefer working on 2-D animation either traditionally or digitally. The courses I've taken at San Jose State University are ANI 12, ANI 50, ANI 24, ANI 14, ANI 112A and ANI 1. Currently, I am enrolled in ANI 28, ANI 112B, and ANI 113A. When I graduate from San Jose State University I would like to be working at or interning at an animation studio. I'm interested in working on either animating or story boarding at a studio that works on animated feature films or cartoon series. Some of these studios include but are not limited to: Nickelodeon, Frederator, Sony Pictures, and Laika. I'm not 100% sure just yet. These are just a few of the many animation studios that produce works that I admire. If possible, I would love to work for Cartoon Saloon, they create fantastic 2-D animations.
Hi Jasmine, I hope your blog is still active so you get this message.
So you ended up at San Jose State...I thought you were going to Fullerton. Either way, good schools and I know that you'll do well anywhere you go. You're talented, a hard worker, a serious animator and a good person.
For the very first time at Hancock, videos, motion graphics and animation will be included in the Student Art Show. The show will be on display in the gallery Feb. 1st thru March 9th. A reception will be held Wednesday, Feb 10th, 3 - 5pm.
Your Kinetic Type, Logo Animation and Movie Open projects are part of the motion graphics in the show. I got them to include work from the Fall 2013 Intro to Motion Graphics class because motion graphics had never been included in the Student Art Show before. Of the three times I've taught the class, your class was by far the best group I've had. From that class I also included in the show works by Jessie Carlson, Justin Do, Matt Nichols, Dwight Colon and Jennifer Herrera. Congratulations!
